Less Scientific Methods to Tell if it’s a Boy or a Girl
Pregnant angles
In cases where you seem pregnant from any perspective (poor you!) this would mean that you are carrying a girl. If you don’t appear pregnant from behind, this implies you could be carrying a boy..
Toddler attention
If a toddler boy shows fascination with a pregnant woman, she’s carrying a girl. If he disregards her, has to be a boy.
Morning sickness
Mother’s that suffer from major morning sickness which lasts well into the day usually tend to be carrying a girl.
Fast heartbeat
Seemingly girls in the womb have a faster heartbeat than boys. So when your baby’s heart beat in the womb is 140 bpr or greater, it’s a girl.
Craving treats
Mums-to-be carrying girls will probably have a strong longing for everything sweet, notably chocolate!
Show your hands
If someone asks to see your hands, if you hold them out palms towards the sky, you’re having a girl. Palms to the floor means you’re carrying a son.
Position of baby
If you’re carrying your baby high, it’s a girl. If you’re carrying your baby low, it’s a boy.
Mother’s age
Take the age of the mother at conception, then take her birth year. If both of them are odd, or they are both even then you may be having a girl. If one is odd and one is even, it’s a boy.
Key test
Drop a key on to the floor. When picking it up, if you pick it up by the long narrow section you are having a girl. If you grab it by the rounded part then you are carrying a boy.
Ring test
This is a favourite folklore test to discover if you’re carrying a girl or boy. Get a wedding ring and attach it to a chain. Lay face up and hang the wedding ring over your midriff. If the ring swings in a strong circular motion, it’s a little girl. If the ring swings in a pendulum action, it’s a little boy.
Eating more meat
Eating lots of red meats is certain to provide you with a boy…apparently.
Craving of salty foods
If you are yearning salty snacks, for example pretzels and crisps, you are theoretically carrying a boy!
Craving outsiders
When reaching for a loaf of bread, which piece would you enjoy? The heel (or outsider)…or the centre? If it’s the outsider, it’s likely to be a little boy.
Garlic
This one is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Munch on a raw garlic clove, if the scent of garlic seeps through your pores, it indicates you are having a boy. Little or no aromas? Has to be a girl.
